Bought this during Prime Day 2023. This is one of the low-end Vita Mix blenders, but it does a great job. I've made tahini with it and it worked quite well. I've also made cashew cream and it worked way better than my previous blender - very smooth and creamy. I also find that I prefer this blending container to the higher end Vita Mix containers. It's wide and squat instead of being tall and narrow. Makes it easier to clean and also easier to scoop hummus (or whatever you're making ) out of the bottom. Also it's dishwasher safe which I don't think the higher end containers are.


My one complaint which I hope will diminish over time: it smells like burning plastic when it's running. I suspect this will go away after a while, it's probably just the oil they used to coat the motor during manufacturing.

This is the first appliance I've ever fallen in love with. It just does its' job, does it incredibly well, and is easy to use and clean. I make Dr. Rhonda Patrick's smoothie recipe every morning and it's a game-changer in terms of overall energy/health levels. I had a Ninja blender before and I'm kicking myself for not buying a Vitamix earlier. My "renewed" blender came spotless and looks brand new.


The only cons are: the pour spout can be a pain if you're pouring thicker stuff. And I've had an issue where, when I blend whole celery some of the fibers can wrap themselves around the axel below the blade and I have to manually clean them (the way to avoid this is: slice celery up before you put it in). OK and if I'm being nitpicky, the potentiometer for the power knob feels slightly cheap when you turn it.


As an added bonus, it's the first blender that is quiet enough that it doesn't bother my cat (much). And my kids love it too and I've gotten them to put spinach and kale in their smoothies. Kid-approved, cat-approved, parent-approved. This thing is a winner. Buy one ASAP. You won't regret it.

I've wanted a vitamix for years, but my wife always threw a fit about the price whenever I mentioned buying one.


I bought this one on Prime day, and my wife loves the thing, she makes smoothies with it almost every day.


it's definitely worth the money, I lament all the years wasted with my cheap ass blender that smelled like burning every time I used it and didn't blend for crap.
